Lifeguards - Perry Aquatic Centre

Permanent Fulltime Lifeguard Vacancies

We are currently recruiting for enthusiastic, reliable and friendly lifeguards to join the team in Cambridge on a full time basis. Our lifeguards are responsible for the day-to-day pool operations within the facility and ensure that all areas both in and surrounding our pools are safe and clean for patrons.

You should be energetic, dynamic, outgoing and fun and have a genuine interest in water safety. You will need great communication skills and a commitment to customer service excellence to ensure our patrons enjoy their visit every time.

Starting rate is $23.20 per hour and full training can be provided.

Group Fitness Instructor

Club Waipa is a modern gym located upstairs of the Te Awamutu Events Centre. We offer a range of state of the art equipment and Group Fitness Classes including Aqua Aerobics.

We have an opportunity for a fun and energetic Group Fitness Instructor to join our team. Ideally you are already qualified, however for the right person, on the job training and support to gain a qualification will be provided.Hours of work would initially be two evenings per week 5.30-6.30pm. 

Our class instructors provide members with a safe, professional and friendly workout environment where they are assisted in achieving their health and fitness goals.

Applicants for this position must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa and be able to pass pre employment drug testing and police vettin

Learn to Swim Instructors

Swim Waipa aims to provide an inclusive community programme that encourages fun in the water, builds lifelong water safety, and develops aquatic ability.

We are seeking teachers for our swim school in Cambridge. 
If you are passionate about working with children and their families and have a great team spirit, we are willing to train.

We are looking for a team member who is:
Passionate about teaching swimming 
Great at building rapport with parents and children
Committed, have great work ethics and work well as a team and contribute to the open exchange of ideas and discussions

Previous experience working with babies and toddlers

Shifts available are Monday-Friday 3.15pm-6.15pm and Saturdays 8.15am-12.15pm during school terms.
The position is deemed a safety sensitive position and will require pre-employment drug testing and police vetting.
